Terms of Use

1. Purpose

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the ChefBase platform, published by Thomas Albert Consulting SASU (SIREN 930 163 639), hereinafter referred to as “the Publisher”. By creating an account on ChefBase, the user unconditionally accepts these Terms.

2. Service Description

ChefBase is a SaaS platform for professional pastry chefs, chocolate makers, ice cream makers, confectioners, bakers and chefs, enabling them to:

• Create and manage recipe technical sheets
• Calculate food costs and margins
• Use AI-powered features (Copilot, OCR import, nutritional analysis, formulation)
• Manage orders and suppliers
• Generate regulatory labels and PDF exports
• Collaborate with a team with role management

3. Account Access

Access to ChefBase requires creating an account with a valid email address. A 14-day free trial is available on paid plans, without commitment. Beyond that, access to advanced features requires a paid subscription. The user is solely responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential.

4. Data Ownership

Recipes, ingredients and data entered by the user belong entirely to them. The Publisher claims no rights over this content. Users can export or delete their data at any time from their account settings.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Subscriptions are managed via Stripe with automatic renewal (monthly or annual). Users can cancel at any time from their “My Account” section at no charge. No partial refund is granted for ongoing billing periods.

Prices are shown excluding taxes. The applicable VAT is that in force in the user’s country of residence at the time of the transaction.

6. AI Credits

Each plan includes a monthly AI credit quota that resets each month. Unused credits do not carry over. Additional credit packs can be purchased separately and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

7. Service Availability

The Publisher strives to ensure maximum service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance may cause temporary interruptions, communicated where possible by email or in-app notification.

8. Limitation of Liability

ChefBase is a professional management assistance tool. Information generated (costs, nutritional data, formulations, AI output) is provided for indicative purposes only. The user remains solely responsible for how they use it, particularly regarding the regulatory compliance of their product labels.

9. Personal Data

The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, compliant with GDPR.

10. Amendments

The Publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified by email of any substantial changes. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, the parties will seek an amicable resolution. Failing that, exclusive jurisdiction is given to the competent courts of Montpellier, France.
