Terms of Use

1. Purpose

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the ChefBase platform, published by Thomas Albert Consulting SASU (SIREN 930 163 639), hereinafter referred to as “the Publisher”. By creating an account on ChefBase, the user unconditionally accepts these Terms of Use.

ChefBase is a SaaS platform for pastry, chocolate, ice cream, confectionery, bakery and culinary professionals, enabling users to:

Access to ChefBase requires creating an account with a valid email address. A 14-day free trial is available on paid plans, with no commitment. Beyond that, access to advanced features requires a paid subscription. The user is solely responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential.

4. Data Ownership

Recipes, ingredients, and data entered by the user belong entirely to the user. The Publisher claims no rights over this content. Users may export or delete their data at any time from their account settings.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Subscriptions are managed via Stripe with automatic renewal (monthly or annual depending on the chosen plan). Users may cancel at any time from their “My Account” section at no charge. No partial refunds are issued for ongoing billing periods.

Prices are listed excluding taxes. Applicable VAT is determined by the user’s country of residence at the time of the transaction.

6. AI Credits

Each plan includes a monthly AI credit allowance that resets every month. Unused credits do not roll over. Additional credit packs may be purchased separately and are valid for 12 months from the purchase date.

7. Service Availability

The Publisher strives to ensure maximum availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance may cause temporary downtime, communicated where possible by email or in-app notification.

8. Limitation of Liability

ChefBase is a professional management assistance tool. Information generated (costs, nutritional data, formulations, AI content) is provided for indicative purposes only. The user remains solely responsible for how they use it, including compliance of product labels with applicable regulations.

9. Personal Data

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, in compliance with GDPR.

10. Changes to These Terms

The Publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified by email of any material changes. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will seek an amicable resolution. Failing that, exclusive jurisdiction is granted to the competent courts of Montpellier.
